EXTRA DATE ADDED - Preparing an appeal submission - adult disability payment
CPAG in Scotland
This event is in the past
This course equips you with the knowledge and skills you need to prepare an effective submission. Using case studies, discussion and practice, you will gain confidence in making a good case for clients whose adult disability payment (ADP) claims are turned down or who lose ADP on review. Submissions are not just for appeals. A good submission can help you win cases at the earlier redetermination stage. This course focuses on ADP and is aimed at advisers familiar with ADP claims or familiar with personal independence payment (PIP) which has been replaced by ADP in Scotland.
The course covers:
What makes an effective case – the law, facts and evidence
Making sure your submission is informed by the eligibility rules for ADP
What issues to look out for in appeal papers to raise in a submission
Practice preparing a written submission for an ADP redetermination or appeal
