The course covers:

• The latest rules on when ill and disabled people may need to claim UC, and the consequences of claiming

• Transitional rules for those moving from legacy benefits

• How to deal with delays and challenge decisions on limited capability for work

• The consequences of work capability assessment outcomes in UC

• The interaction of disability benefits (PIP, DLA and AA) and the UC calculation

• How work affects the UC award for disabled claimants.

This ‘one-day equivalent’ experienced level course is aimed at advisers with an understanding of the UC calculation and knowledge of the work capability assessment.
