Chairs Check-In: We Need to Talk about Cyber Security

Led by : Alison Stone, Third Sector Cyber Resilience Co-ordinator, Scottish Business Resilience Centre and Anthony Morris, Third Sector Lead at the Cyber Resilience Unit, Scottish Government.

Join us, and your fellow voluntary sector leaders for this FREE networking and discussion event exclusively for Chairs, Vice Chairs, & those considering moving into the role.

Covid-19 has impacted working practices within the third sector in a massive way. Digital technology was deployed in haste to ensure that organisations could continue to provide support for their service users, with many of these tools being cloud based and used by home workers, often on their own personal devices.

Cyber-crime continues to plague the third sector, with 26% of charities surveys report having a cyber security breach or attack in the last 12 months (increasing to 51% of high-income charities) and, whilst four in ten charities update their senior management at least quarterly, there is still much to be done to improve cyber resilience within the sector.

Join us at this Chairs Check-In session to:

- Learn more about the cyber ecosystem here in Scotland and how it supports charities and voluntary sector organisations.

- Hear more from Scottish Government about the recently published The Strategic Framework for a Cyber Resilient Scotland and what that means for the third sector.

- Find out how to access free training for staff and volunteers, how to get help should you be the victim of an attack or breach and what actions you can take as the Chair of an organisation to improve your cyber security in this ever-changing world.

We look forward to seeing you there!
