This event is in the past
Stay at home orders and the continued rise of social media and smart technology has had a huge impact on the tools used to perpetrate abuse. In this session, we will explore what digital abuse looks like in the context of gender based violence and coercive control, and what some of the impacts might be. After the session you’ll have:
• Enhanced understanding of the tools that are used to abuse
• Explore how digital abuse is often used as part of coercive control
• Knowledge of how we can challenge this- from big tech responses to our own community responses
