This experienced level course looks in detail at the social security rights of EEA nationals in the UK. It provides an opportunity for advisers who are familiar with some of the more commonly occurring scenarios to focus on specific complex areas and recent significant developments.
The course covers:
Social Security co-ordination with other EEA states since the end of the post-Brexit transition period. In particular the effects of co-ordination rules on disability and carer's benefit claimants in the UK, and those claiming child benefit for children living in Europe
Current issues for EEA nationals relying on free movement rights to satisfy the right to reside requirement
Recent significant changes in legislation and caselaw
