Wheatley Group has announced the appointment of two new non-executive directors, Jo Boaden and Bryan Duncan. Boaden is a highly experienced senior housing professional whose contribution to the sector in the north of England was recognised with a CBE for services to housing in 2017. She was also the recipient of the prestigious Woman of the Year ​title at the 2018 Women in Housing Awards. Duncan, a chartered surveyor from Giffnock, has spent over 35 years specialising in commercial and residential property investment, development and asset management.

Children's Hospices Across Scotland - better known as CHAS - has announced the appointment of Peter Smyth, director of public affairs at communications consultancy Indigo, to its board. His working relationship with CHAS spans back to an award-winning campaign recognised as the best in Scotland at the 2017 Public Affairs Awards. The CHAS/Indigo collaboration, Better Care for Children with Shorter Lives, demonstrated the success of a timely, structured and driven public affairs project.

Capital Credit Union has appointed Yasemin Guven to its Board as it looks to grow its membership during 2019. The 29 year old works for the Chartered Banker Institute as a campaign and fundraising co-ordinator, managing its volunteering hub. This includes the 2025 Foundation, which aims to raise a minimum of £1 million to help talented individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds into banking careers, the Financial Education Partnership, which delivers workshops in schools across Scotland and an institute mentoring programme.

Law firm Gillespie Macandrew has promoted experienced charity and private client lawyer, Lianne Lodge, to partner. Lianne, who has regularly written for TFN, joined Gillespie Macandrew as an associate in 2014, and joined the firm's Training Academy. Over the past two years Lianne has spearheaded and grown the firm's charity offering and is ranked as an Associate to watch in Chambers and Partners. Lianne manages a range of charity and private client work, and is a regular speaker on both topics.
