Any Dog'il Do Rescue is in urgent need of donations as it deals with a cash crisis
An animal rescue charity has made a plea for help as it battles to survive.
Edinburgh-based Any Dog’il Do Rescue has said it in serious danger of closing.
The charity has revealed that a difficult few months has resulted in its expenses massively increasing, and is in urgent need of donations.
A statement on the group’s Facebook page said: “As a small completely volunteer run rescue, we rely entirely on donations and fundraising. Unfortunately, over the last six months, our expenses have massively exceeded the money both raised and donated.
“This has been caused by unusually large and unforeseen vet expenses for a few of our special dogs.”
Two dogs, Khal and Trevor, needed expensive medical procedures which meant that the charity's outgoings over the last few months were double what they took in. The charity has said that the cost of keeping the dogs it helps in kennels has also been a factor.
Any Dog’il Do has setup a Go Fund Me page and has asked for all of its supporters to give any support that they can.
