This year’s event will preview COP26

An array of festivities will take place as part of an annual climate change event.

The Edinburgh Climate Festival will take place at Leith Links East on the 14 August from 12pm to 7pm.

The festival will feature a market, art installation, workshops, swap shops and much more. It aims to celebrate and inspire community climate action, with themes including COP26, low carbon energy and zero waste.

The Edinburgh Climate Festival, now in its sixth year, will offer a free, family-friendly and community-led marketplace event. The festival will be carbon neutral, using cargo bikes from FARR OUT Deliveries and Cargo Bike movement.

The marketplace event provides an opportunity to learn about climate and sustainability at a community level. The festival will bring together around 50 charities and organisations, in the hope of encouraging local-level action.

Entry is free and open to all. There will be activities for all age groups from storytelling and arts and crafts, to free yoga classes and henna painting. Free e-tickets can be purchased here, with the option to give a donation.
