HcL Transport is shuttling people to get their Covid-19 vaccines in Edinburgh and the Lothians
A charity is offering free transport for those struggling to access their appointment for Covid-19 vaccines.
HcL Transport, which runs Dial-a-Bus and Dial-a-Ride services in the Lothians and Edinburgh, is calling on people who need help getting to their appointments to get in touch.
Anyone who has challenges getting out and about due to age, disability, health issues, additional support needs or geographic remoteness can take up the offer.
A spokesman for the charity said: “Any person who has challenges with getting out and about due to age, disability, heath issues (short-term or long-term), additional support needs or geographic remoteness is eligible to use the service.
“This is of course subject to availability so call the relevant office as soon as you have your appointment and we will do our very best to help get you to your appointment and home safely.
“Please note you will need to register to use this service but it is quick and free.”
Call 0131 447 9953 for transport in Edinburgh, East Lothian or Midlothian or 01506 633336 for transport in West Lothian.
Transport is also available to people in the Scottish Borders via the Borders Community Transport Service (BCTS).
