WWF is hoping to get millions of people across the world to pledge to make the planet a better place
The lights are set go out at landmarks and households across the planet this weekend.
The annual Earth Hour event returns this weekend and aims to get people to take positive action to reduce energy use and protect the environment.
Created by WWF, the initiative sees electricity switched off at some of the world’s main tourist attractions, as well as at homes and other smaller sites.
Earth Hour is now in its eleventh year and last year nine million people took part in all corners of the globe.
This year’s event takes place between 8.30pm and 9.30pm on Saturday (March 24).
To join in, just switch off your lights and electrical appliances for the full hour, and show solidarity with those fighting for a cleaner, more sustainable Earth.
Attractions that are set to go dark include Edinburgh Castle, the Eiffel Tower and Sydney Opera House.
