The awards showcase the commitment organisations make to paying fair wages

Organisations that go the extra effort to ensure staff are paid fairly are being invited to enter an awards.

Entries are now open for the Living Wage Scotland (LWS) Awards 2021.

The awards are an opportunity to showcase your continued commitment to the Living Wage movement, achievements that you are most proud of and the things that make your organisation stand out.

The ceremony will take place in November as part of the Living Wage Week celebrations and will be a virtual event.

There are six categories to enter:

Living Wage Scotland Employee Choice Award 2021

Who can apply?: Employees of accredited Living Wage employers can nominate their employer for this award.

Criteria: Reasons for nominating may include: positive response to receiving the real Living Wage, they have seen their employer actively promote and engage with the Living Wage or other reasons relating to the Living Wage which make the employee proud to work for their organisation.

Living Wage Scotland Trailblazer Award 2021

Who can apply?: All accredited Living Wage employers.

Criteria:  An employer who is a stand out in their industry due to their commitment to the real Living Wage. Setting an example to others and actively promoting their accreditation in a range of forms.

Living Wage Scotland Newcomer Award 2021

Who can apply: Employers accredited since December 2019.

Criteria: An employer who has done something that stands out to celebrate their accreditation, has taken part in activity since accreditation to promote the real Living Wage or has contributed in other ways to support the Living Wage movement.

Living Wage Scotland Resilience Award 2021

Who can apply?: All accredited Living Wage employers.

Criteria: An accredited employer who since the beginning of the pandemic has gone above and beyond to support their team and wider community, must be able to provide specific examples.

Living Wage Scotland Local Champion Award 2021

Who can apply?: Accredited employers of any size, who can demonstrate positive impact within their local community.

Criteria: An employer who has shown continued commitment to the Living Wage movement through their actions and behaviours.

Living Wage Scotland Outstanding Leadership Award 2021

Who can apply?: Accredited employers of any size.

Criteria: An employer who consistently demonstrates leadership through actions such as: working to encourage others to become accredited as Living Wage employers, speaking out publicly on the real Living Wage, and going above and beyond the scope of the accreditation licence criteria.
