Public body and children’s charity combine to create guide
A guide on child protection for individuals and organisations involved in delivering artistic, cultural and creative projects for children and young people has been published online.
Co-written by Creative Scotland and Children in Scotland, ‘Creating Safety’ provides guidance for those working in the arts with children and young people in Scotland.
The guide talks through best practise and legislation and is relevant whether you are an individual freelancer working with children, or a small, medium or large-sized organisation or company employing staff and volunteers to work with children.
A spokesperson said: "‘Creating Safety’ has been revised and updated to reflect important changes in legislation and policy. This version is consistent with the National Guidance for Child Protection in Scotland, and Disclosure Scotland and the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme."
