Christian Aid will showcase the work of Side by Side to mark International Women's Day

The stories of inspirational women from across the world are set to be heard at Holyrood.

Christian Aid will mark International Woman’s Day tomorrow (Thursday) with an event at the Scottish Parliament showcasing the work of Side by Side, the global faith movement for gender justice.

The event will also host the exhibition, Faith in Gender Justice, which tells the stories of 16 inspirational women of faith who are working to challenge gender inequality both here and around the world.

Kathy Galloway, chair of Side by Side Scotland, said: “We hope that our work raises awareness of the importance of decision makers and faith organisations working together to create gender equality, and our vision is that Side by Side as a movement can be a valuable tool for this happening in Scotland”.
