The changes for those in receipt of public grants will be implemented on July 1.

The Scottish Government has announced two events for charities ahead of a key fair work policy coming into effect this summer.

Two webinars on grant conditionality have been organised for the sector on May 30 and June 1.

The events will take place ahead of the introduction of a legal requirement for public sector grant recipients to pay their workers at least the real Living Wage, and provide appropriate channels for effective voice.

The change will take place from July 1, with the event promising to take those in need through the change, which was implemented due to the SNP Government’s agreement with the Scottish Greens.

The events read: “With the implementation date on the horizon, we’d like to offer key stakeholders and partners in the public and third sector the opportunity to talk through what the requirement means for you, and what you need to do.

“The Fair Work policy team are holding a series of implementation webinars where we will provide an overview of the scope of the policy as a refresher, and answer any questions you may have.”
