Organisations are being invited to apply

Organisations working to help people into work are being given the chance to gain grants.

Capital City Partnership, on behalf of City of Edinburgh Council, is inviting organisations to apply to two programmes.

The partnership is looking for new, engaging, and innovative projects that will increase the offer of employability provision for young people aged 16-24, across Edinburgh.

The Young Person’s Guarantee grants aim to support as many young people aged 16-24 as possible into employment, education, volunteering and training opportunities, with a particular focus on those from protected characteristic groups. Initial applications must be submitted before noon on Friday (17 September).

The Network of Employability Support and Training (NEST) grants programme will fund work which supports people experiencing poverty and that are looking to progress towards work or in work.

The ultimate aim of this work is to reduce the impact that poverty has on Edinburgh’s citizens and to empower people through fair employment.

For more information and to apply for this fund (deadline 15 October), visit the partnership’s website.
