Raiders take £15,000 during Edinburgh break-in
A homeless charity was targeted by thieves who smashed a hole in its office wall.
Around £15,000 was stolen at Foursquare's furniture warehouse in Sighthill, Edinburgh in the pre-Christmas raid.
Four Square provides advice, accommodation and education for homeless people in the capital and their two stores sell secondhand furniture.
A safe containing cash was stolen as the charity was targeted overnight between Monday and Tuesday (22 and 23 December).
Police Scotland are appealing for witnesses to the break-in.
A spokesman said: "Police in Edinburgh are investigating following a break-in and theft from a business premises in the west of the city.
"The incident happened sometime overnight between Monday 22nd and Tuesday 23rd December at the property in Bankhead Medway.
"A safe containing money was taken and officers are urging anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area, or who has information that can assist with their enquiries to come forward."
