Appeal aims to raise vital funds for St Vincent’s
St Vincent’s Hospice is asking supporters to step up and raise vital funds for the charity this September.
Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, staff at the Renfrewshire hospice have continued to provide palliative care for patients affected by life-limiting conditions and counselling support for those who have lost loved ones.
However, like so many other charities, fundraising has been severely impacted by the pandemic and lockdown.
St Vincent’s is now urging people to undertake sponsored challenges in September to help fund its services and ensure patients and their families get the support they need.
Fundraising manager Carol-Anne Lamont said: “The last six months have been surreal and challenging for us all. With events and fundraising challenges cancelled or put on hold indefinitely, this month we need you to step up for local care, and take on a fitness challenge for our hospice.
“Can you walk 5k every day? Are you ready to tackle a Monroe? Just looking to get fit and need a reason to finally start going those runs before work? This is your opportunity to get fit and give some vital support and funds to your local hospice.”
She added: “Every penny raised makes such a difference to local families going through some of the hardest times in their life, and no challenge is too small. So please, if you’re looking to get back in shape after a long lockdown, do it for us! Get in touch, tell us your story and Step Up for St. Vincent’s Hospice today!”
