Single sells like hotcakes after Rod Stewart tweet

A charity single released by twin sisters has been touched by the hand of Rod.

Brittany and Rachelle Davies, 15, wrote and recorded Shout Out in memory of their pal Heather who took her own life last year.

They released it as a single, with proceeds going to the mental health charity Young Minds – and it got a major boost when rocker Rod Stewart urged his legions of fans to buy it.

He tweeted: “A pleasure to see young talent giving back. Purchase Glasgow’s @Rach_Beitt’s first single& support @YoungMindsUK”.

The download has sold like hotcakes since Rod’s recommendation.

Brittany, of Eaglesham near Glasgow, said: “The response has been amazing.”

Shout Out is available on iTunes, Spotify and other online music stores.
