The Hunter Foundation is offering £1,000 grants to Scotland's next generation of leaders

Ambitious youngsters are being challenged to help deliver change in Scotland.

The Hunter Foundation is offering grants of £1,000 which aim to back inspirational ideas.

Its 100 Disrupters project is looking for 100 people who are aged 26 or under to positively disrupt Scotland.

The contest is being held as part of the Year of Young People, with those successful being given grants to help the country embrace their ideas.

Founder Sir Tom Hunter said that his organisation wanted to help support Scotland’s next generation of leaders.

“We are looking to back young people with massive ambition and the courage to take that ambition on,” he said.

“Whether that's one mighty sporting challenge, changing their communities, building the next Facebook, a nascent Rabbie Burns or promoting a charity or cause that can change the face of Scotland, we want to support their ambition.”

Young Scot, the Prince’s Trust, Young Enterprise Scotland, StreetSoccer and Who Cares Scotland are amongst the organisations who will be encouraging youngsters to apply.

More information on how to apply is available on the Hunter Foundation website.
