Software will allow cashless donations to be processed in seconds

JustGiving is developing a new contactless payment app for charities.

The TapDonate app will allow charities to accept spontaneous donations from anyone with a debit card or Apple Pay enabled phone.

Charities will be able to download the app to a tablet or smartphone, where they can then customise it with their own brand and information.

The app can then be connected with one touch to a PayPal Here card reader to enable cashless donations to be processed in seconds.

JustGiving is now looking for “enthusiastic, fast-moving” charities to test the technology before a full launch.
