Fatima Iftikhar will bring project management experience to PATH Scotland.

A charity tackling inequality and the lack of diversity in Scotland’s workforce has welcomed a new CEO to its team.

PATH (Scotland) announce that its newly appointed CEO is Fatima Iftikhar in a statement on social media.

The charity said Ms Iftikhar brings to PATH strong experience as a project manager, mobilising and guiding others, facilitating, and pursuing innovative solutions to benefit the BME community.

She said: "I am delighted to join PATH Scotland as CEO. I am extremely proud to be a part of PATH and look forward to ensuring its ambitions and goals are met."

She will replace former CEO Najimee Parveen who decided to step down earlier this year after 23 years.

PATH said: “Her leadership has been exemplary, and the Board of Directors would like to pay tribute to her enduring commitment and to her achievements in addressing the particular sets of inequalities that limit fair and equal representation for people from BAME backgrounds in the workforce.

“Najimee leaves PATH a healthy, active organisation, recognised for excellence in all of its activities and as the source of highly effective models of traineeship and leadership development that can be applied in many sectors.”
