New chief operating officer completes Victim Support Scotland leadership team

Sue Freeth joins the organisation from LifeCare

Victim Support Scotland has appointed a new chief operating officer.

Sue Freeth joins the organisation from LifeCare, where she was chief executive. 

Lifecare is a charity providing support for older people, those living with dementia or poor health, and the people who care for them.

Previously Sue has been chief executive at Combat Stress, executive director at The Royal British Legion and assistant director at Scope.

Along with the chief executive, Kate Wallace, and director of services and development, Jenny Paterson, Sue will form part of the Executive Leadership Team.

Kate Wallace, said:“Sue is bringing a wealth of strategic experience and operational knowledge to our organisation and I am very much looking forward to working with her. She joins us at an exciting time as we work closely with Scottish Government on criminal justice matters and expand our services to provide support to families who have lost someone to crime abroad “

Sue said: “Very excited to be joining Victim Support Scotland. I am looking forward to meeting stakeholders and drawing on their experience and insight to bring a fresh impetus to its work.”
