Kirsten McTighe will join Epilepsy Scotland

Epilepsy Scotland has announced Kirsten McTighe is to join the charity as its new head of income generation.

Kirsten joins the charity’s senior management team and will lead the fundraising, events and training functions of the organisation.

She joins as the charity celebrates its 70th year and will play a vital role as it celebrates this milestone and looks ahead to what comes next.

Kirsten brings a wealth of experience to the role having worked in public relations and third sector roles before moving to the publishing and broadcasting industries. Kirsten subsequently returned to the third sector, undertaking fundraising, marketing and communications roles for numerous charities and non-profits, including Lanarkshire Epilepsy Support. 

She most recently worked for Erskine Veteran’s Charity on their trust fundraising team and is also a charity trustee having joined the board of Revive MS in 2022.

She said: “I’m delighted to have joined the dedicated team at Epilepsy Scotland. With 58,000 people across Scotland living with an epilepsy diagnosis, the need for our services continues to increase, and so too does the need for vital funds. 

“This is an exciting year for Epilepsy Scotland as it celebrates its 70th anniversary, which we’re marking with our 70th Anniversary Ball in October. I’m excited by the opportunity to play my part in helping the organisation continue to grow and develop the vital support and training services it provides.”
