Fifty pence of every ticket sold will go to Inverclyde Community Fund

A new community lottery launched in the Inverclyde area is to benefit local charities, voluntary organisations and community groups.

InverLotto, will boost the Inverclyde Community Fund, a registered charity set up in 2012.

Fifty pence from every £1 ticket will go directly into the fund, which awards grants of up to £500 to support a wide variety of good causes and helps local people get their ideas off the ground.

The lottery will have a top prize of £25,000 available every week, starting with £5 for matching three numbers, £25 for matching four, £1,000 for matching five and the top prize for all six.

By playing, not only do people get the chance to win up to £25,000 every week but they are helping raise money to benefit the many local charities, voluntary organisations and community groups

“InverLotto is Inverclyde’s community fundraising lottery, so we are calling on people to sign up with the new weekly lottery and support the Inverclyde Community Fund,” said fund trustee, Eleanor Robertson. “By playing, not only do people get the chance to win up to £25,000 every week but also, with 50p in every £1 InverLotto ticket going directly to the Fund, they are helping raise money to benefit the many local charities, voluntary organisations and community groups, which make up our vibrant third sector here in Inverclyde.”

The lottery is launched today on #GivingTuesday, which the Inverclyde Community Fund has partnered with.

#GivingTuesday, launched in the UK by the Charities Aid Foundation, aims to encourage people, charities and businesses to donate time, money or their voice to help a good cause.

Entry forms can be completed online at inverclydelife.com.

The lottery is run by Unity Lottery, which retains 50p for its prize money fund and to cover administration costs.
