New partnership launched to support NGO HR practices

Bond and Birches Group unveiled the plans.

The UK’s network for international development organisations has announced a new partnership to support NGOs organisational development and HR practice.

Bond has confirmed it will work with Birches Group LLC on the project.

Birches Group is a global leader in HR consulting, workforce management and pay and reward and the partnership will aim to support Bond’s members in this area.

Over the next year, the two organisations will present a range of events and engaging content focusing on organisational development, salaries, pay scales and benefits within our sector. They will use their expert knowledge on data collated globally from the sector to advise on best practices in all these areas.

Speaking about the partnership, Bond’s director of membership and communications, Michael Wright, said: “We’re thrilled to partner with Birches Group to improve NGOs’ access to valuable data and insights on HR best practices and compensation management.

“This collaboration aims to enhance HR functions across the sector, particularly on compensation management, enabling NGOs to foster a positive workplace culture and drive organisational success.”

Birches said they hope to strengthen civil society organisations through their work, with the first event scheduled to take place in March.

Curtis Grund, international development practice lead at Birches Group, said: “At Birches Group, whose DNA is rooted in the international development community, we are excited to embark on this new partnership with Bond.

“Together, our shared goals are to connect civil society organisations globally through extensive surveys; strengthen them with expert advice and training in organisational development and compensation management; and champion a dynamic network by promoting fair, equitable, and competitive compensation practices across their global workforce.”
