The Health and Social Care Alliance signs agreement to work closely with with NHS 24

A cross-sector strategic partnership between the Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland (the Alliance) and NHS 24 Health Information Services (HiS) has been created.

This new third sector public sector agreement highlights a commitment from both organisations to work together across a range of diverse programmes to drive improvement in the health and wellbeing outcomes of people using services and their carers.

Alliance chief executive Ian Welsh said: “We are pleased that we have agreed a substantive commitment to joint working with NHS 24 HiS. This agreement is the first step in transforming the way the third and public sector works together to drive better health and wellbeing outcomes for all people in Scotland.

"It underpins a real motivation across the health and social care landscape to move towards outcomes based, person centred models of care and support. This partnership will allow both organisations to put the person at the centre of health information services and is but the first step in transforming the third/public sector relationship to do this”

Lynne Huckerby, head of HiS, said: "We are delighted to formally enter into this partnership arrangement with the Alliance, which demonstrates our joint commitment to supporting people who access support and services across the health and social care sector, to shape their services of the future across the health and wellbeing agenda.

"The opportunities which this affords both organisations are both exciting and transformational in nature and we look forward to contributing to this for the benefit of our population."
