The Scottish Charity Regulator is advertising for a new permanent chief executive

The Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR) is looking for a new chief executive.

The recruitment process for a permanent replacement for David Robb, who left in at the turn of the year after seven years to head up Student Awards Agency Scotland, is underway.

A “highly motivated individual” is being sought for the position, with the new chief executive responsible for managing around 50 members of staff.

The role is being advertised on the Work for Scotland website, with a salary of between £64,000 and £117,800 being offered.

A spokesman for OSCR said: “This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in OSCR’s vision for effective regulation which contributes to a flourishing charity sector in which the public has confidence.”

Robb became OSCR’s second chief executive in October 2011 following the departure of Jane Ryder. Maureen Mallon, former assistant director of Education Scotland, has served as interim chief executive since January.
