Regulator bids to streamline the application process
Scotland’s charity regulator is to make new registrations easier – via online applications.
The Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR) says it expects to launch the new facility later this year.
It aims to make registration as simple as possible for the applicant while also allowing the streamlining of decision making processes within OSCR.
OSCR’s website says: “We see this as an exciting development in our aim to improve our services."
It is also looking for people to test the new system and to give their views whether they help organisations apply for charitable status, have recent experience of applying for charitable status or are thinking of making an application.
“Testing with real users helps us understand their needs, and create the best possible experience,” said the regulator.
Testing will happen later in the year, but if you would be willing to take part email [email protected] and put Online Application Testing in the subject line.
