Penumbra has a new tagline – Your Journey. Your Way.

A mental health charity has today unveiled its new brand through a series of powerful films featuring people who share their lived experience journeys.

Penumbra is the largest employer of mental health peer workers in Scotland with 20% of its teams in peer support roles and aims to increase that to 30% by 2023.

The charity has a new tagline – Your Journey. Your Way.

And it has a new campaigns hub featuring films of four people who have been on their own journey with Penumbra.

Chief executive Mike Burns said: “It’s an exciting day for all of us here at Penumbra Mental Health. This big piece of work has been inspired and shaped by lived experience, and the meaningful engagement with our teams and people who have accessed our support.

“Our pioneering charity provides dedicated services for people with mild to serious and enduring mental ill health. From being there for people in crisis to suicide prevention, supported living to self-harm management and peer support, we are with those we support every step of their journey to a better place. And so at the heart of our new brand is our Penumbra infinity loop. It represents a simple message that everyone's journey is different, and that we'll always be there for those who need our support.

“To mark this big moment in our history, we're celebrating our new tagline: Your journey. Your way. This is our way of recognising that people's experiences are at the centre of everything we do, because everyone’s journey is different. That means we work with people to identify, believe in, and reach their goals, whatever they may be.”
