Find out which organisations and individuals have made it to the final of the Scottish Charity Awards 2017

The Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations has announced the finalists for this year's Scottish Charity Awards.

A total of 38 individuals and organisations have reached the final of the awards in a total of eight categories.

Who Cares Scotland, Hope Kitchen, The Yard and Street Soccer Scotland are the four charities vying for the coveted title of Scottish Charity of the Year.

The awards will be handed out at a celebratory dinner hosted by television presenter and Playlist for Life charity trustee Sally Magnusson in Edinburgh in June.

Five Scottish charities are hoping to pick up the Cracking Campaign award for their work to make Scottish society stronger.

For the first time this year, the awards have also give charities the chance to put forward an innovative project. The Pioneering Project category received the most applications, so six amazing projects are in the running.

Entries have come from organisations big and small from across Scotland for both the Demonstrating Digital award and the Celebrating Communities award.

This year's awards also presents a fantastic opportunity to highlight the work of individuals in the sector, through the Charity Champion, Leading Light and Terrific Trustee awards.

All the finalists are also in the running for the People's Choice Award, which gives the public a chance to vote for their favourite from 9am on Friday, 12 May. Check out the full list of finalists and vote for your favourite here - voting closes at 5pm on 26 May.

The awards dinner takes places at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre on the evening of Thursday 22 June. Tickets are now on sale for the event.
