Scotland emerging and established social enterprises are now able to enter to Scottish Social Enterprise Awards 2017

Scotland’s annual awards for achievement in social enterprise are now open for entries.

Social Enterprise Scotland is calling on all social enterprises to step up and demonstrate how they’re helping people or the environment.

Social enterprises will be recognised across six categories ranging from the One to Watch for a new and emerging business, through Tech for Good for a digital innovation to the top price of Scottish Social Enterprise of the Year.

Last year's winners inlcuded Glasgow based social enterprise letting agency Homes for Good, which picked up Social Enterprise of the Year, and Claire Carpenter of the Melting Pot, who was named Social Enterprise Champion.

Fraser Kelly, chief executive of Social Enterprise Scotland, said: “Social enterprises in every corner of Scotland are building a better economy and a fairer society. The Social Enterprise Awards Scotland is a unique opportunity for social enterprises to gain serious recognition for their achievements and dramatically raise their public profile.
