The Social Enterprise Awards Scotland are set to return this year

Scotland’s top social enterprises are set to be recognised at an awards ceremony later this year.

The Social Enterprise Awards Scotland are now open for nominations, with a ceremony being planned for later in the year.

The ceremony did not take place last year, with a digital showcase taking place instead, however organisers have said they are hoping to hold a hybrid or digital event on 2 November.

A spokesperson said: “We are delighted to have seven award categories open for application this year and in recognising the way people and teams have come together in difficult circumstances, we have also updated our Social Enterprise Champion category to include all staff and volunteers. This is a great opportunity to nominate and celebrate someone in your team who has gone above and beyond to really support your organisation and its mission this last year.

“While it’s too early to announce arrangements for our 2021 event, as we will still need to be run in line with the regulations at the time, please save the date (2 November) as we hope to run a blended event, using digital and face to face event formats.”

Nominations are open until 12 July, and more information is available on the website.
