Vaccination survey launched aimed at third sector

Voluntary Health Scotland are following up research done in April 2021.

The national network for voluntary health organisations in Scotland has launched a survey on the Covid-19 vaccination programme and its link to existing health inequalities.

Voluntary Health Scotland (VHS) is conducting research to assess the extent to which the vaccine rollout in Scotland sought to reduce inequalities and foster collaboration with the third sector, in order to make future vaccine programmes more inclusive and establish the third sector as a valued partner in public health initiatives.

The charity has called for organisations and partners to take part and tell them about their experience during the rollout and views on the public health interventions at the time.

The survey will run for three weeks, closing on May 27, targeting third sector groups, community organisations, social enterprises and others in the third sector.

The survey follows on from research published in April 2021, Vaccine Inclusion: Reducing Inequalities One Vaccine at a Time, which sought to anticipate any potential gaps in the vaccine programme as it was being rolled out.

The information gathered will be fed back to Public Health Scotland and also the Scottish Government Covid-19 Vaccination Programme. To respond to the survey, click here.
