Cutting £12 billion from the welfare budget is going to put added pressure on charities and third sector organisations work harder than ever the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations has said.

With organisations already claiming to be overstretced, could this £12bn cut be the straw could be the one to break the camel’s back.

The Scottish third sector is renowned for its resilience but this week we are simply asking:

Will charities be able to cope with the demand created by welfare cuts?
