A refugee crisis has engulfed Europe. More displaced people are arriving on its shores than ever recorded before as war, persecution and poverty continues to drive people from their homes.
Refugees from Kosovo, Syria and Afghanistan are desperately looking to settle in the relative calm and prosperity of the west but their increasing desperation is leading to thousands risking their lives in a bid to get to their chosen destinations.
One suggestion to alleviate the crisis is to open all EU borders. Those arriving would be given freedom of movement to their final destination, thus alleviating the huge numbers amassing in countries such as France, Greece and Hungary.
At the same time the move would counteract the reprehensible but hugely profitable trade in human trafficking.
Is this feasible in your view? Should all EU borders be open to refugees?
