A British Heart Foundation survey found 50% of Scots claim their job has driven them to eat more unhealthily.

The charity estimates businesses lose £8 billion of productivity a year as a result of heart and circulatory conditions and is calling on employers to give employees 10 minutes a day to prepare a healthy meal or do some exercise.

Having a stressful job and working overtime were cited as the main reasons for people snacking throughout the day, smoking more cigarettes, grabbing a takeaway on the way home and reaching for the bottle.

What about your office – does your boss promote a good work/life balance or do you even struggle to find the time to take a walk at lunch time to buy a salad?

Is there always cake around because it’s someone’s birthday or do you have a biscuit culture? Let us know in the comments and tell us what your favourite biscuit is while you’re at it.
