Over 12,000 people across Scotland have received grants

CAS also reported a huge increase of people taking longer to clear their debts.

The public event from 10am-3.30pm will feature powerful testimonies from people who are worst affected by a catastrophic increase in basic living costs.

"The sector is in crisis with staff leaving in droves in search of employment with better pay and working conditions."

Some concerns were raised that the crisis will pose more significant challenges for organisations, service providers and individuals than even those faced during the pandemic.
