St Andrew’s First Aid, Scotland’s leading first aid charity, welcomes James Lloyd as he takes up the post of head of finance and IT. James has a wealth of experience in the third sector having previously worked for the Mungo Foundation and Turning Point Scotland, as well as carrying out a variety for roles in the private sector. A chartered certified accountant, James is looking forward to helping St Andrew’s First Aid achieve its aims over the coming financial year.

Simon Warr is the new general manager of employability organisation West Fife Enterprise (WFE). Simon took up his post on 4 July after seven years as employment service manager at Barnardo’s Works. Simon brings a wealth of experience and qualifications from across employability services and the third sector having previously worked for Common Purpose and Fairbridge. Simon will lead on diversifying and securing new sources of income for WFE, thus contributing to the future direction and sustainability of the organisation.

George Foulkes has been appointed as the new chairman of the board of trustees at Age Scotland. The Labour peer, who previously served as vice-chair of the charity, said he was honoured to take up the role. He will be supported by new vice-chair Dorry McLaughlin, the chief executive of sheltered housing provider Viewpoint. Lord Foulkes said: “I am honoured to be chosen as chair of Age Scotland at this crucial time. In the ‘70s I was director of Age Concern Scotland so will be returning to an area of special interest for me.” McLaughlin said she was “delighted” with her new role: “Age Scotland is helping to ensure that all older people, no matter their circumstances, can love later life.”
