The Marie Curie Hospice, Edinburgh, development board has re-launched with two new members. Scotmid Co-operative head of corporate communications Malcolm Brown and marketing professional Allison Crawford join existing members Ian Wright (managing director of Family a creative agency) and Peter Raistrick (investment director at Standard Life Investments).

Help for Heroes has appointed former army nurse Mary Wilson to promote the charity north of the border. Veteran Mary, 51 from in Edinburgh, is the first Help for Heroes Band of Brothers and Sisters coordinator for Scotland. Mary’s role is to reach out to those wounded, injured and sick servicemen and veterans and their families so they can find out what help is available to them. Mary reached the rank of staff sergeant in the army but was medically discharged in December 2012 following injuries received while on a military horse riding course. Margaret Clift McNulty

National Museums Scotland has appointed Margaret Clift McNulty as its new head of development. Margaret is currently head of fundraising at disability charity Capability Scotland and will join the National Museums Scotland team on 17 September. Margaret previously worked at the University of Edinburgh, Amnesty International and at King’s College London. She is currently chair of the Institute of Fundraising Scotland’s professional development committee and is a member of their strategic executive committee.

Jon Rosser

World Child Cancer has appointed Jon Rosser as its new chief executive. Currently consultant and interim emergency response manager at Voluntary Services Overseas (VSO), Jon has 20 years experience as a senior executive including as a chief executive, consultant, interim manager and coach. He has experience in international development at a senior level having fulfilled roles at VSO, Save the Children and Merlin particularly focussed on developing health programmes. Jon will take up his appointment from 21 September 2015.
