The Corra Foundation has three £1,000 prizes to give away in honour of its new name and brand

Got an idea that could change your community? Tell the Corra Foundation for a chance to grab £1,000 to help fund it.

In celebration of the launch of the Corra Foundation's new name and brand, the Scottish funder is giving away three £1,000 prizes for innovative ideas that will enable people to create positive change in communities across Scotland.

Supported by three funders, the prizes will be given out to projects in three areas: place (people coming tougher to create positive change within their local area), children and young people, and sport.

Carolyn Sawers, deputy chief executive of the Corra Foundation, said: “We strongly believe that change comes from passionate people who care about the world around them.

“To celebrate the launch of our Change for Good strategy we’re delighted to be working with the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation, BBC Children in Need and Comic Relief to offer one-off prizes to support great ideas that contribute to change.

“We would encourage anyone who is interested to get in touch. It’s easy to enter and, as you’ll see from the example entry on our website, you can have a bit of fun too.”

Entries can be submitted by video or by traditional text entry forms by 15 September. Videos and text entries will be uploaded onto the Corra Foundation’s Facebook page and the public will be able to vote on the entries they think should win in each category.

Voting will close on Monday, 25 September.
