The 10th Young Scot Awards take place next week
More star-studded acts have been added to the line-up of the 10th annual Young Scot Awards which takes place next week.
Stevie McRorie winner of the The Voice and Scottish band Prides, who wowed fans across Scotland and around the world during the closing ceremony for the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games, have been confirmed to join 22-year-old pop sensation Connor Maynard and host Edith Bowman.
Now in its milestone tenth year, the Young Scot Awards recognises the achievements of Scotland’s young people across 11 different categories including Community, Cultural Diversity, Enterprise, Unsung Hero, Volunteering, Sport, Entertainment and The Arts.
The event, held in Edinburgh’s Usher Hall on 30 April, aims to celebrate the hard work, dedication and passion showed by young people and the positive impact they make in their communities across Scotland every day.
Louise Macdonald, chief executive of Young Scot, said: “The countdown is now truly on for what will be the biggest celebration of young people Scotland has ever seen. The 10th Young Scot Awards will be an opportunity to celebrate past and present winners, as well as recognise the incredible contribution young people make to society.
“In previous years, all of our celebrity guests have been in awe of the inspirational young people we celebrate. It proves the stars of the show are the young Scots.”
