New mag takes a major look at fundraising
Welcome to TFN magazine’s May edition, which you can read in its entirety here.
We have a mag bursting at the seams with sector-related news and features, including a major focus on the work of our fundraisers.
Think tank Rogare has created a timeline of some of the calumnies and controversies that have dogged the profession – which is too often in the firing line when the public and media’s mood turns on charities.
This sense of fundraising being a frontline activity is further strengthened by fascinating a look at how they deal with burnout and trauma.
Elsewhere, we look at how the sector responded to the new programme for government (spoilers – not very favourably), and in a related vein, a look at how we are gearing up for next year’s Holyrood elections.
The very best of what we do as a sector is celebrated every year at the Scottish Charity Awards – you can find out all the finalists plus voting details here. And speaking about the very best of what we do, we report on an innovative use of AI technology which is having remarkable successes in some often left-out communities.
You will find all of that and much more in this month as well as TFN's usual line up of excellent columnists and features.
And don’t forget - if you work for a member or supporter organisation, why not set up an account so you can access members only content such as the full archive, TFN app and exclusive content.
