The charity is promoting its free Parentline service through a new campaign.

A new campaign from Children 1st aims to ensure parents and carers across Scotland are aware of its national Parentline service.

The campaign – #WithAHandFromParentline – has been launched to promote the charity’s free online family support service for parents and carers.

Featuring families from across the country, the charity hopes the campaign will lead to more parents using the service.

Harriet Hall, head of communications and engagement at Children 1st, said: “Every family needs a helping hand sometimes. Real family life is messy and complicated – there are always new parenting challenges with children of different ages, and life can take unexpected turns.

“Whatever the issue, Parentline is never about telling people what to do. We give parents the time, space and confidence to think through tough decisions and to make things better for their child.”

Parentline’s team of volunteers are trained to a level recognised by Scotland’s professional body for counselling and psychotherapy. They have a real understanding of the stresses and challenges that all families face, and the impact they have on children.

Children 1st is asking supporters to look out for and share the #WithAHandFromParentline posts on its social media channels, and to encourage families to visit the charity’s website as a first step to getting support.
