Donations jar stolen from Glasgow children’s charity

The incident saw over £700 taken from Launch Foods.

A Glasgow children’s charity has shared their shock after a donations jar was stolen from a city centre shop.

Launch Foods are a registered charity tackling food surplus by providing free food to primary school, and run a coffee shop on Bothwell Street.

The charity took to social media to share their despair after the incident on Wednesday.

They wrote on social media: “Launch foods feeling shocked and upset this morning.

“Whilst we had 30 of our wonderful school kids in for an end of term treat our donation jar was stolen from our counter.

“The jar helps us to buy Christmas gifts for the kids.”

The issue is now reportedly being passed to Police Scotland.
