Claire Carpenter from the Melting Pot hosted an hour long interview with three impressive Scottish social entrepreneurs

Three social entrepreneurs shared their experience of running successful social businesses at a chat-show style event in Ednburgh.

Claire Carpenter, founder of The Melting Pot, interviewed life-long activist and co-founder of the GalGael Trust, Gehan Macleod, Pauline Gallacher from Neilston Development Trust and Danielle Trudeau, founder community coworking hubTribe Porty. They discussed the importance of providing phyiscal spaces for their local communities to create social change.

Each guest shared an open and honest account of why they started, what drives and sustains them, and what advice they would give to others setting up and running their social enterprise.

Chivas Regal was also on hand to provide information about The Venture, a global search for the world’s most exciting social entrepreneurs.
