A range of modules are available from the Open University

Social care workers are being invited to enhance their studies.

The Open University (OU) is offering funded places for social service workers who are employed by small to medium sized organisations (under 250 employees) on a range of courses.

The modules are at SCQF level 10 and 11 and intended for students who have higher education experience, which can include completing SVQs.

The places are available thanks to the flexible workforce development fund (FWDF). The fund supports Scottish employers to provide new learning opportunities for their existing workforce.

Applications must be submitted before the end of August, and full details are available on the SSSC website.
