Fund launched to grow enterprise

Second round of the programme

A fund has launched to provide investment for social enterprises in Dumfries and Galloway.

The initiative will help groups develop their business ideas, explore new markets, and grow the region’s social economy.

Third Sector Dumfries and Galloway (TSDG) announced today (1 September) that applications were now being accepted for the second round of the Social Enterprise Grant Programme 2025/26 – Realising Market Potential.

With a total fund of £50,000 available, social enterprises across Dumfries and Galloway can apply for grants of up to £5,000 to support innovative projects.

Applications close at 12 noon, 26 September 2025.

The programme is designed to back both new and existing initiatives, with funding available for a wide range of eligible costs including staffing, training, market research, equipment, and project delivery.

All projects must begin on or after 17 November 2025 and be completed by 13 February 2026.

The fund is open to incorporated social enterprises including SCIOs, Companies Limited by Guarantee, Community Interest Companies, Cooperatives, and Community Benefit Societies.

In line with the Scottish Government’s Fair Work principles, all successful applicants will be required to pay at least the Real Living Wage to staff and contractors engaged in the funded activity.

Applications will be reviewed by an independent scoring panel, with successful organisations notified by 5th November 2025.
