Grants from the Housing Voluntary Grant Scheme will be allocated to 17 projects who work to prevent homelessness
A total of £1.6 million will be invested in projects which aim to tackle homelessness and provide housing for the most vulnerable.
The money from the Scottish Government’s Housing Voluntary Grant Scheme will be split between 17 projects.
The latest round of funding is focused on projects which include support for people at risk of homelessness, enable independent living for older people, disabled people and veterans, and provide support and advice services for refugees.
Among the successful projects is the Rock Trust, who will receive £47,000 to support A Way Home Scotland, a national coalition to end youth homelessness.
Rock Trust chief executive Katie Polson said: “The coalition will support organisations across Scotland to develop systems and practices in their local area to ensure that young people are able to avoid, resolve and move on from homelessness using youth specific methods.”
