Wildlife Trusts to get cut of cuddly toy sales.

Wildlife charities will be beneficiaries of this year’s John Lewis Christmas ad.

The UK’s Wildlife Trusts – including the Scottish Wildlife Trust – will get 10% of the sales of cuddly toys of Buster the Boxer, the star of the commercial.

It features animals bouncing on a trampoline which has been given to a girl as a Christmas present, and is in contrast to last year’s rather downbeat Man On The Moon ad, which benefited Age UK.

You can see the advert here:

Stephanie Hilborne, chief executive of the Wildlife Trusts, said: "John Lewis putting some of our most beautiful British wild animals at the centre of their Christmas advert and making the Wildlife Trusts their charity of choice this Christmas is great news.

“With this support we will be able to inspire thousands more children about the wonders of the natural world."
