July's edition of TFN's magazine is out now - read it here!

Bumper edition looks at the election, respite for stressed out charity workers, voluntary sector music - and much, much more!

Welcome to TFN’s July edition – which you can read in full here.

In a packed magazine, we look at a range of topics – from the aftermath of the election, the importance of voluntary sector music projects to one charity’s work helping to empower people through its community kitchen.

Robert Armour spoke to The Larder’s Angela Moohan about the work they do – which is about so much more than food, and even extends to helping tackle anti-social behaviour in West Lothian.

And Robert also takes in in-depth look at how voluntary sector music projects – maybe an overlooked aspect of the vast range of things the sector provides – are similarly transforming lives and tackling social ills.

Award winning writer Kat Hill takes us to Turadh in the west Highlands and provides an evocative look at everything they do to provide rest and respite for stressed out, frontline voluntary sector workers – something we know will chime with our readers!

And staying in the north, we look at the work of the Cabrach Distillery, a community-owned project in Speyside.

The online world is also covered, as Nigel Gallear tells us about his work on digital inclusion through the Simon Community, and we also round up the latest on the fight for cyber security.

And on top of all of that, we also have the winners of this year's Scottish Charity Awards.

Add to that TFN's usual excellent columnists, regular features and news stories and you've got a bumper July edition.

And don’t forget - if you work for a member or supporter organisation, why not set up an account so you can access members only content such as the full archive, TFN app and exclusive content.
